Cloudflare is a company that provides internet security and performance services to its customers. The company is used by many organizations to protect their online presence. Cloudflare was down for about 20 minutes on June 21st, 2022 which led to some major websites being inaccessible.

Some of the leading internet websites goes down and list includes ecommerce solution Shopify, hosting provider AWS (Amazon Web Services), stock trading apps Zerodha and Upstock.

As soon as Cloudflare went down, Internet users started trending the company on Twitter. All down web portals started showing “500 Internal Server Error, Nginx.”

Law firms Holland & Knight and Bluestone have served a defendant in a hacking case with a temporary restraining order via a nonfungible token, marking the first known legal process to be facilitated by an NFT.

The “service token” or “service NFT” was served to an unnamed defendant in a hacking case involving LCX, a Liechtenstein-based cryptocurrency exchange that was hacked in January for almost $8 million. Reportedly, the attack compromised the platform’s hot wallets, resulting in the loss of Ether (ETH), USD Coin (USDC) and other cryptocurrencies.

Just a few weeks after announcing the first details of its upcoming Ryzen 7000 series desktop CPUs, AMD has disclosed an outline of its consumer and server products roadmap for the next two generations. This was announced during AMD’s Financial Analyst Day, where CEO Dr. Lisa Su spoke about the company’s plans to capture a part of the projected $300 billion market for high-performance computing solutions. While the event is focused towards financial analysts and shareholders, disclosures about AMD’s competitive positions in various markets include information about upcoming products. Also, the company now has a new slogan: “Together we advance”.

Zen 4 will also power the upcoming ‘Genoa’ line of Epyc server CPUs as well as a new line of ‘Bergamo’ based on a density-optimised variant called Zen 4c for cloud-native computing applications. ‘Genoa-X’ variants will feature AMD’s integrated 3D V-cache, a vertically stacked layer of high-speed memory on top of the CPU die. Another product line codenamed as ‘Siena’ will target a new market in intelligent edge and communications equipment.

‘Zen 5’ is a ground-up redesign planned for launch in 2024 and should further improve performance and efficiency as well as introduce new optimisations for AI and machine learning for consumer Ryzen CPUs codenamed ‘Granite Ridge’. These CPUs will use 4nm and 3nm processes. The next Epyc generation will be codenamed ‘Turin’ and should be released in late 2024.

India has also now joined the game and has its own virtually influencer called Kyra. According to her creator, Kyra is 21-year-old. She has become highly popular on Instagram with nearly 100,000 followers.

Kyra has been created by TopSocial India, which is an influencer marketing platform. She was launched back in January and has been created by Himanshu Goel, the business head of TopSocial India. Kyra’s bio on Instagram describes her as a “dream chaser, model and traveller”.

Her social media feed shows her doing yoga, lounging at beaches and posing in front of heritage sites. She has also done a fashion shoot. According to Mr Goel’s LinkedIn post, Kyra has also participated in a metaverse fashion week that brought together big global names like Estee Lauder, Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana.

Her Instagram posts have seen a great engagement.

Kyra is inspired by the world’s first virtual influencers such as Lil Miquela or Rozy from South Korea. “When we launched Kyra, (India’s first Virtual Influencer) fashion was one of the first categories we focused on. We can’t wait to see how Indian fashion brands will participate in the Metaverse space,” wrote Mr Goel in his LinkedIn post sharing images of the virtual influencer. He also invited everyone to follow Kyra’s journey for “many more adventures and secrets” that are yet to be revealed.

The Indian government’s Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has recently flagged various vulnerabilities in Chrome and some Mozilla products. It highlighted that these vulnerabilities were providing hackers with access to all of the users’ data and also executing arbitrary codes by bypassing all security mechanisms.

The vulnerabilities marked as ‘high’ risk by CERT-In targeted Chrome OS versions prior to 96.0.4664.209. It includes vulnerabilities marked under CVE-2021-43527, CVE-2022-1489, CVE-2022-1633, CVE-202-1636, CVE-2022-1859, CVE-2022-1867, and CVE-2022-23308 by Google.
The tech giant however has acknowledged the bugs and said that it fixed all of them. The company asked its users to download the latest version of Chrome OS in order to stay protected from these bugs.

Additionally, CERT-In has also flagged bugs in the Mozilla Firefox iOS version prior to 101, Mozilla Firefox Thunderbird version prior to 91.10, Mozilla Firefox ESR version prior to 91.10, and Mozilla Firefox version prior to 101. All of the vulnerabilities have been rated as ‘high’ by Mozilla. The company said that these vulnerabilities, enabled a remote attacker to disclose sensitive information, bypass security restrictions, execute arbitrary code, perform spoofing attacks and cause denial-of-service (DoS) attacks on the targeted system.

Mozilla has also released some updates regarding the affected products. It has asked the users to download Mozilla Firefox iOS 101, Mozilla Firefox Thunderbird version 91.10, Mozilla Firefox ESR version 91.10, and Mozilla Firefox version 101 to protect themselves from this vulnerability.

Reportedly, Airtel users are facing outage in several parts of the country. The users took to Twitter to report issues within the network strength.

Many users complained of zero-network. Others pondered why they weren’t able to call anyone. The services went out only for 15 minutes and have been restored, as per the company.

The outage did not affect all the users afterall.

According to the outage-tracking website DownDetector, the outage reports came from cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati, among other regions.

Stats suggested that the issues with Airtel services began appearing around 4:27 pm on June 8. As many as 4,400 people reported no signal, unable to access mobile internet and even problems with landline internet.
