The Sony RX0 II came in 2019 and three years later it is still a great, nigh-invulnerable, action cam that can produce excellent 4K video and stills.

The one unique feature that one can immediately fell in love with is the pullout LCD screen that can tilt up to 180 degrees for use as a selfie cam.  The Eye Autofocus is amazingly responsive as well for a camera that’s been on the market for three years.

Sony earns brownie points for how indestructible the RX0 II feels, as it’s IPX8 waterproof (up to ten meters) and the build quality is outstanding It feels like one of the little black boxes they put on airplanes. The ultra-durable metal build is one of the strongest in the category.

The RX0 II is available at retailers for $698. The GoPro Hero 10 is priced at $399.99, almost half the cost of the Sony however, with its plastic housing it’s not nearly as indestructible as the RX0 II. The DJI Action 2 also starts at $399, but the dual-screen combo that includes a second screen to use for selfies bumps it up to $519.

The Asus ROG Strix G15 series is focused at esports enthusiasts and gamers who want excellent performance but don’t need a super-slim or light device. It shares a lot of design and hardware elements with the rest of the ROG Strix (2022) family. Reportedly, Xiaomi is gearing up to globally launch its Mi Smart Band 7 after the wearable was recently spotted on the NCC certification website. The listing has also unveiled the live images of the Xiaomi wearable, as per a report. Mi Smart Band 7 was launched in China in late-May this year as the successor to the Mi Smart Band 6. Xiaomi is yet to announce the date for global launch of the Mi Smart Band 7, but it is anticipated to launch soon in India.

Reportedly, Mi Smart Band 7 was spotted on the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) certification website with the model number M2130B1. This has also triggered the speculations of an imminent global launch of the Xiaomi wearable.

It features a 1.62-inch AMOLED touchscreen with Always-On display and 192×490 pixels resolution. The display of the wearable is designed to deliver 500 nits peak brightness and has 326ppi of pixel density. It gets more than 100 customisable faces for users to personalise the wearable according to their liking. Spotted by MySmartPrice on the NCC certification website initially, live images of the Mi Smart Band 7 suggest that the global variant of the wearable can be expected to sport the same design as the China variant. The NCC listing has also made confirmation that the global variant of Mi Smart Band 7 will come with a battery capacity of 180mAh.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 have been on the rumour mill for quite some time now. The brand is expected to unveil the latest foldable phones in August this year. Ahead of the launch, a rumour suggests that Samsung will add a swipe for split-screen feature on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 for multitasking. This functionality is expected to allow users to enter the split-screen mode by just swiping on the screen. Other major players in the foldable phone market, Oppo and Vivo, also introduced similar features on their devices earlier.

It is being expected that Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have swipe for split-screen function which could open apps in split-screen mode with a simple swipe. In the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 models, the split-screen mode can be accessed through the Multi window tray or the Recents apps menu. The addition of this new feature in upcoming models will let users quickly switch between apps.

Oppo and Vivo smartphones offer a similar quick feature to access apps on split-screen. On Oppo Find N foldable device, the split-screen mode can be used by swiping down on the unfolded screen with two fingers, while on Vivo smartphones this can be done by vertically swiping up with three fingers.

Days after Apple uncovered new models of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, the rumours have started again. Reportedly, Apple has plans for a 15-inch MacBook Air, and a 12-inch MacBook.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is anticipated to be a wider version of the 13.6-inch variant that Apple unveiled at WWDC 2022. The report suggests that Apple was planning to launch the 15-inch variant alongside the 13-inch but decided to drop the idea. It is expected that the 15-inch MacBook Air will feature the same M2 processor which Apple unveiled with the 13-inch MacBook Air.

Reportedly, the 12-inch MacBook will be the smallest in Apple’s MacBook lineup and is expected to arrive by end of 2023 or early 2024 as per rumours. If the 12-inch MacBook does arrive then it will be the smallest version Apple has launched in four years. It was in 2019 when Apple discontinued the 12-inch MacBook.

Reports also suggest that Apple will upgrade the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, these upgrades will be incremental in the sense that the design aesthetics will remain the same but the processing power will be improved.
